This Privacy Policy applies to all of our applications including: IH/OH Toolbox, Jokesmith, and Gigsmith.

- Professional Information: Job title, organization, professional certifications (CIH, RSO, etc.)
- Safety Data: Inspection records, incident reports, hazard assessments, measurements, calculations, and other professional safety documentation you create within the app
- Veteran Status (Optional): For veteran discount verification (honor-system based, no verification required)
- Contact Information: Phone number, physical address (only if voluntarily provided)
- Communication Data: Messages you send through support or feedback features
2.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Device Information: Device type, operating system, unique device identifiers, mobile network information
- Usage Information: Features accessed, time spent in app, crash logs, performance metrics
- Location Data: Precise GPS location only when you explicitly enable GPS features (hazard photo tagging, WBGT-based alerts). Location data is NOT collected or transmitted unless you actively use location-dependent features
- Health & Fitness: For apps using biometric or health data (none of our apps currently use this)
2.3 CloudKit Synchronization
When you enable cloud synchronization, your app data is stored on Apple's iCloud servers through CloudKit. This includes:
- Safety inspection records and forms
- Incident documentation and photos
- Professional notes and assessments
- User preferences and app settings

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
- Providing Services: Delivering app functionality, safety calculations, compliance tracking, and professional features

- Service Providers: We share limited information with Apple (CloudKit infrastructure), analytics providers, and app maintenance vendors only as necessary to provide services

4.3 Team Features (FaultLine)
If you use team collaboration features, your data may be shared with other authorized team members based on role-based access controls you configure.

- Safety Records: Safety documentation and incident reports are retained as long as you maintain your account, to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Account Information: Retained for as long as your account is active
- Usage Analytics: Anonymized usage data retained for up to 12 months
- Backups: Cloud backups may persist for up to 30 days after deletion
- Legal Holds: Information may be retained longer if required by legal obligations
6. Data Security
We implement comprehensive security measures to protect your data:
- Encryption: Data transmitted to/from our services uses industry-standard TLS/SSL encryption
- Storage: CloudKit data is encrypted at rest on Apple's servers
- Access Controls: Only authorized personnel can access user data
- Security Audits: Regular testing and vulnerability assessments
- Local Storage: App data on your device is protected by iOS security features

10. Apple Privacy & Permissions
10.1 Permissions Requested by Our Apps
- Camera: To capture hazard photos (IH/OH Toolbox)
- Photo Library: To upload and manage photos within the app
- Location Services: To tag hazard locations with GPS coordinates (IH/OH Toolbox)
- Microphone: To record performance metrics (Jokesmith) or transcribe audio
- Health/Motion: None of our apps request health or motion data
- Contacts/Calendar: None of our apps require access to your contacts or calendar
10.2 App Tracking Transparency (ATT)
We respect Apple's App Tracking Transparency requirements. We do not track users across other apps or websites for advertising purposes. If an app requests tracking permission, it is optional and not required for core functionality.
11. International Data Transfers
Your information may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in countries other than your country of residence. These countries may have different privacy laws than your home country. By using our Apps, you consent to the transfer of your information as described in this policy.
